Aaron Beydoun
Founder & Chair, Harvard Alumni for Agriculture
Aaron Beydoun is a global strategist and entrepreneur working at the intersection of agriculture, trade, and technology. He began his career in physical commodities, trained by two of the world’s most respected family-owned trading houses — Louis Dreyfus Commodities and Neumann Kaffee Gruppe — where he worked closely with smallholder farmers and built sourcing networks across Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
He went on to build and accelerate several deep tech ventures across biotechnology, aerospace, and artificial intelligence — including bringing the first CRISPR-enabled food product to the US market and commercializing the first remote sensing–based crop yield prediction system. His work focuses on translating innovation into commercially viable systems that strengthen supply chains, increase transparency, and improve agricultural outcomes. His functional expertise is in commercializing early-stage technologies, securing major commercial partnerships, and raising capital (> $600M in funding from a blend of financial and strategic capital to date).
As founder of Harvard Alumni for Agriculture, Aaron convenes leaders across disciplines — from global trade and finance to food systems and policy — to explore long-term solutions in food and agriculture. The platform serves as a bridge between cutting-edge ideas and practical implementation in the field.
He studied finance and literature and has lived and worked on four continents. Fluent in English, Arabic, French, and Spanish, Aaron has advised global investors, governments, and leading research institutions on agriculture, innovation, and trade. He is now focused on building trusted commercial flows across tropical commodity sectors and advising families on protecting and growing wealth through private capital, insurance, and estate planning.
